Course Overview

The Edexcel Level 4 HNC in Mechanical Engineering provides a specialist work-related programme of study that covers the key knowledge, understanding and practical skills required in the engineering sector and also offers particular specialist emphasis through the choice of specialist units. Edexcel Level 4 HNCs provide a nationally recognised qualification (120 credits) offering career progression and professional development for those already in employment and opportunities to progress on to an honours degree programme. The qualification is delivered at Peterborough Regional College and can be studied full-time or part-time.  Successful completion of this course allows progression onto the new BEng (Hons) Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering (subject to validation).

Entry requirements

  • A BTEC Level 3 National Certificate or Diploma in an engineering discipline or Access to HE qualification
  • 2 A-Levels in Maths and a Science subject
  • Plus GCSE Grade C or above in English, Maths and Science.
