Do you offer scholarships or bursaries?
Not at the moment unfortunately.

How will I be taught?
Each course is different but they will all usually include a mixture of lectures, seminars, practical work and independent study.

What happens if I don’t get my visa?
Any fees you have paid to us will be refunded but we will retain a £500 administration fee. We will need to see your visa refusal notice before a refund is given. It may also be possible that we can defer your place on the course for one year.

How do I open a bank account?
We can produce a letter of introduction on arrival.

How do I register with a doctor?
The International Team will help you. Usually you would register with the homestay host family’s doctor but the College nurse can give information and a list of local Doctors.

How do I register with the police?
The International Team will help you make the appointment to register at Cambridge Police Station

Can I travel in Europe during my studies?

Many countries require you to have at least 3-6 months student leave to remain left on your visa in order to visit, another part of Europe, so plan your visit early rather than at the end of your stay. The Schengen Visa Scheme is a scheme that allows visitors to obtain one visa to visit a number of designated countries within the EEA.

How do I get to Peterborough Regional College or University Centre Peterborough?
The campus is located in the heart of Cambridgeshire, close to a network of motorways and trains. It is easy to reach from major UK airports.

  • Arrive in the UK at HEATHROW airport (LHR)
    • You could travel to Kings Cross St Pancras station (mainline) from Heathrow airport on the London Underground. You can take the Piccadilly Line passing through 23 stations to Kings Cross St Pancras. It should take approximately 50 minutes. When you follow the signs to the mainline railway station, take a train direct to Peterborough
    • You could travel on the Heathrow Express train from the airport to Paddington Railway Station (mainline). Here, you should take the underground to Kings Cross St Pancras using the Hammersmith and City line (Eastbound). This should take approximately 15 minutes. When you arrive, follow the signs to the mainline railway station and from here take a train to Peterborough
  • Arrival in the UK at GATWICK airport (LGW)
    • You travel on the Gatwick Express to London Victoria and take the underground to Kings Cross Station. This is the fast train (30 minutes) and runs every 15 minutes. On arrival at London Kings Cross, follow the signs to the mainline railway station and from here take a train to Peterborough.

Travelling to Peterborough on the mainline train will take approximately 50 minutes. You can then take a taxi to your accommodation or to the College (depending on arrival time). Travel time to Peterborough is 50 minutes by fast train and 80 minutes by slow train.
