Introduction to Journalism
Monday 18th February to Wednesday 20th February 2019
10am to 3pm (Mon + Tues), 10am to 1pm (Weds)
This free journalism module is offered by University Centre Peterborough during the February half term and will take place at the specialist Media and Journalism Centre in the centre of Peterborough (50 Broadway, Peterborough PE1 1SB).
Staff from University Centre Peterborough’s BA (Hons) Journalism programme will share their vast experience from within journalism during this two-and-a-half day module. Those wishing to attend do not need any experience in journalism, but more an interest in studying it at university in the future or keen to seek a career in this exciting, varied and important industry.
All participants will be awarded a certificate in ‘News Reporting’ from University Centre Peterborough at the end of the assessment.
Therefore, this module is an ideal addition to your CV or UCAS personal statement.

How much does it cost?
There is no cost to attend and lunch is provided on the Monday and Tuesday.
Who can attend?
The free module is available to students in sixth form or college and currently studying A-levels, BTEC, Access or equivalent Level 3 qualification. An interest in journalism in any form is desirable, but no previous experience is required.
