Short Story Competition 2016

University Centre Peterborough is home to a range of bachelor degrees, including BA(Hons) English Literature.  The UCP Competition is organised by the staff and student Literary Society to encourage writing within the city and beyond, give experience of event management and literary projects to our undergraduates, plus celebrate UCP's on going success with English graduates, with 75% of this years cohort moving into teaching.

The inaugural UCP short story prizes launches on the 11th October and closes on the 27th January 2017

Up for grabs is a cash prize of £150 for adult entries or a Kindle Fire and a cash prize for the winning school plus a chance to read your story at the prize winning event held at UCP on 16th March 2017.

There are two categories for entry:

Adults – open to anyone 19+ with a prize of £150

Schools – open for 16-18 Students with a Kindle Fire as first prize + £100 for the sixth-form. Runner up prizes of books tokens.
