Journalism Students Enjoyed An Exciting Trip To Westminster To Meet With MP Paul Bristow
Last week, our level 4 & 5 Journalism students travelled to Westminster to meet with MP Paul Bristow and have a guided tour, including the Royal Gallery, the rooms used for parliamentary ceremonies and state receptions and the Robing Room.
The tour also allowed our students to ask questions about politics and how journalism affects government. As Paul Bristow is the MP for Peterborough, our students were able to talk about plans for Peterborough and gain insight into the future of their city. Our students, including Deputy Prime Minister Dominic Raab, were also fortunate enough to sit in on a House of Commons debate. If you want to read about one of our student’s experiences on this trip, you can do this on our award-winning student blog, Inside the Box.
This was an incredibly informative and exciting day for our students, and we would like to thank MP Paul Bristow and his team for giving up time in their busy diaries to show around and speak with our students.
