5 May 2026

University Centre Peterborough is proud to celebrate the achievements of student Neive Corry, who has played a key role in a title-winning season with Peterborough United Women.

Neive helped secure a dominant 7–0 victory in the final and her 15th of the season, bringing an impressive season to a close. Contributing to a strong, consistent run of performances that saw the team crowned champions of their division.

Alongside her academic commitments, Neive has demonstrated the dedication and discipline required to perform at a high level in sport. Balancing training, matchdays and coursework is no small feat, but her success this season highlights what can be achieved through focus, resilience and strong time management.

Reflecting on the team’s achievement, Neive said: “It was an amazing day, felt like a long time coming since I have been at the club a handful of years and to get the golden glove on top of the league is a really proud moment for myself. I’m so excited for next season, to push myself but to also be back out on the pitch, it’s exciting!”

Neive’s efforts also led her to be awarded the Golden Glove, highlighting her consistency and impact throughout the season.

Balancing the demands of competitive sport with academic study is no easy task, but Neive has demonstrated exceptional commitment both on and off the pitch. Her accomplishments on the pitch, combined with her commitment to her studies, embody the spirit of University Centre Peterborough’s student community, where ambition in and outside the classroom is encouraged and supported.

Neive’s journey is a strong example of how students can successfully pursue their passions alongside their education, gaining valuable skills that extend far beyond their course.
