The Employability Hub at University Centre Peterborough (UCP) offers a range of services to support students and alumni in achieving their career goals. It provides tailored advice on CV writing, interview preparation and career planning to help individuals stand out in the job market. The Hub facilitates access to internships, part-time work, and taster days through strong partnerships with local employers, enabling students to gain valuable industry experience. UCP has approximately 700 students enrolled in over 50 degree-level programmes, creating a personalised learning environment through small classes.
Entry requirements vary by course. Typically, applicants need the right UCAS points, A-Levels, or equivalent qualifications, such as BTECs. For certain programmes, vocational qualifications or relevant experience may be required. Specific entry details can be found on the individual course pages.
A top up degree allows you to convert an existing qualification, such as foundation degree or HND, into a full honours degree, usually in one year of additional study.
Transfers can usually only be made within the first three weeks of the new course, and there must be space available. You’ll need support from both your current and prospective Course Leaders. For more information, contact Student Support at support@ucp.ac.uk.
While a standard undergraduate degree is a three-year commitment from start to finish, a top-up degree is simply the final year that ‘tops up’ a lower-level qualification (like an HND) to the exact same full Honours degree.
