What is Access to Higher Education?

Access to Higher Education (Access to HE) courses, delivered at Peterborough College, are designed for adults who want to progress to university but do not have traditional qualifications such as A Levels. These Level 3 courses provide the knowledge, skills and confidence needed for higher education. Each programme focuses on a specific subject area — such as Health, Social Science or Business — helping students prepare for degree-level study and future career opportunities.

Pre-Access – Science and Social Science

The Pre–Access course is a 1-year full–time course for motivated individuals aged 18 or over who want to develop study skills and subject knowledge at level 2 in preparation for a Level 3 Access to HE course, or who do not have sufficient qualifications to be accepted on to an Access to HE course currently.
