UCP Employer Hub Raising your profile

Raising your profile

There are a number of different ways to raise the profile of your organisation on campus, promote your recruitment opportunities and engage with our graduates:

  • Employer presentations
  • Inviting students to conferences, meetings, network groups
  • Site visits
  • Job/Career Fairs
  • Mentoring
  • Mock interviews and assessments
  • Offering visits
  • Pop-up stands
  • Reviewing, with staff, student presentations/research
  • Sponsorship and advertising opportunities

Build a pipeline of fresh talent into your organisation by engaging with internships, work experience/taster days, part-time work and volunteering.

Employer presentations

Presentations are an ideal way to link study modules to your industry practices, tell students about available placement and graduate opportunities, and/or give an insight into your recruitment process. You can choose to present on one of our three campuses or via webinar.

The benefits of presenting to our students include:

  • meeting a target audience face-to-face and answering their questions
  • increased brand awareness
  • sharing your company vision, culture and values
  • exploring how theory is being applied in practice
  • promoting the opportunities available and the skills required
  • increasing application quality by helping students understand your recruitment processes

Inviting students to conferences, meetings, network groups

Our students really appreciate the opportunities based in industry, whether that is attending internal business meetings or accompanying businesses to regional/national or international networking events or conferences.

Job/Career Fairs

Ready to meet your next talented employee? Our job fairs are free to attend and you can exhibit, present or even interview our students and graduates on the day.

Our job fairs are an ideal opportunity for employers to meet our students and graduates. They are a chance to:

  • promote your recruitment opportunities
  • build brand awareness amongst potential applicants
  • use our first-class facilities to network, present or even interview potential new employees.

Mentoring

Mentoring is a great way to interact with students at any time of the year.  You can work with one or a few students at a time, providing industry and career advice to individuals.

Mock interviews and assessments

Mock interviews and assessments are great for both students and businesses. Not only do you help students prepare for future job applications, you also get the opportunity to spot which students could be your next employee.

Offering visits

Our students gain valuable insight when visiting business locations.  These in-depth visits allow you to showcase your products/services whilst raising brand awareness.   Your in-depth business experience provides exclusive first-hand account of the company’s life cycle, a unique opportunity students explore real-life thriving business models and develop an understanding of key challenges of your specific industry.

Pop-up stands

Promote your company with a pop-up stand in high footfall locations across our campus.
Pop-up stands are a great way to interact with students at any time of the year and, unlike careers fairs, you don’t have to compete with other companies for students’ attention.

Reviewing, with staff, student presentations

Attending student presentations with teaching staff helps students prepare for future job requirements whilst giving you the opportunity to spot which students could be your next employee.

Sponsorship and advertising opportunities

We have a number of sponsorship opportunities. You could sponsor one of our awards, sponsor a student on campus as a brand ambassador, or sponsor resources required within the industry.

To talk to us about how these opportunities can help your business, contact the Employer Hub using the contact form below.
