ITB also has a new Editor, Trinity Barnatt, who is also in the second year of her Journalism degree. As Editor, Trinity is keen to strengthen the student publication’s connections with creative organisations in Peterborough, while also representing the student body.

The team have recently rebranded Inside the Box Radio to Inside the Box Podcasts which are now featured on our website as well as on Spotify. This will allow our students to share more topics and limitless creativity in a shared space.

In 2023, Inside The Box won the ‘Best Newcomer Publication’ award for the Midland’s region, after seeing off stiff competition from various student publications in the area.

Editorial team members will also be representing UCP at the Student Publication Association (SPA) Annual Conference in April, where they will attend guest lectures from industry experts to learn ways to propel Inside the Box into further success.

Speaking of success, the team have sent off this year’s submissions for the SPA student awards and is hopeful to be shortlisted for an award again this year.

Moreover, our students are just getting started and we cannot wait to see what the future has in store for their publication!
