UCP Hosts Sport Students from Peterborough College for a Day of Adventure at Nene Outdoors
We recently welcomed Sport students from Peterborough College to Nene Outdoors for a day of exciting challenges focused on building leadership and problem-solving skills. A set of essential qualities for anyone pursuing a career in the sport and physical activity sector!
Throughout the day, students took part in a series of outdoor adventure activities, including kayaking, archery and climbing. Each task was designed to push students out of their comfort zones, encouraging teamwork, resilience and effective communication. From working together to navigate the water in kayaks, to focusing under pressure during archery, and supporting one another to scale the climbing wall, the students embraced each challenge with enthusiasm and determination.
Level 3 Sport student of Peterborough College, Jamie Robinson is continuing his journey with Inspire Education Group, progressing to University Centre Peterborough this September.
He said, ‘I chose to study at UCP because I really enjoyed my time at Peterborough College. When comparing course structures, I saw how what I’d already learned here could be advanced on even more at degree level. I did consider a few other universities, but UCP stood out for me, it’s close to home, the course structure looks enjoyable, and I’ll be studying alongside some familiar faces. Days out like these are an extra perk!’
