University Centre Peterborough Celebrates Excellence at Social Science End-of-Year Awards
University Centre Peterborough (UCP) is thrilled to announce the winners of its Social Science End of Year Awards. These awards recognise the outstanding achievements of students in Criminology and Psychosocial Studies programs across various categories.
This year’s ceremony acknowledged students who excelled academically, demonstrated exceptional progression and made significant contributions to the UCP community and beyond.
Claire Bowes, Course Leader of Psychosocial Studies at UCP, commented, “One of the highlights of our year is the Social Science Awards ceremony, where we close the academic year by celebrating the students’ achievements. We recognise academic success, wider community work, and the personal journeys of our students. This year, the students have produced some fantastic work and developed their confidence. We have enjoyed teaching and supporting them, and we are looking forward to seeing their journeys continue next academic year.”
The mini ceremony featured two sets of awards: the formal awards, selected by the lecturing team, and the student choice awards, chosen by the students themselves. The student choice awards included fun categories such as “Who is the funniest student?” and “Who is most likely to win a Nobel Prize?”.
