Ready to give your students a taste of university study that goes beyond the prospectus?

Our ‘Beyond the Prospectus’ Discovery Days are great opportunities for students to participate in interactive taster sessions and explore their career interests, ahead of university study.

Hands on Experience

Across a range of subjects and led by our passionate academics, students will have the opportunity to produce live talk shows at our Media and Journalism Centre, undertake forensic investigation at our Crime Scene Bungalow, and master the mind as they delve into the intricacies of Sports Psychology.

Critical Thinkers & Creative Minds Discovery Day

At the Critical Thinkers & Creative Minds Discovery Day, students will dive into a world of innovative problem-solving and creative expression. From escaping thrilling puzzle rooms as part of our Business Management challenge, to designing robots and wind turbines within the Engineering department, this Discovery Day will ignite curiosity and spark imagination.

Society, Science, & Stories Discovery Day

The Society, Science, & Stories Discovery Day will immerse students in life’s complexities, from analysis of microscopic reactions within the Biological Sciences discipline, to exploring child cognitive, motor, social, and emotional development within Early Years Education.

Case Studies

Emily Holman

Now training as an English teacher at a local secondary school, Emily Holman, who previously studied at St John Fisher Catholic High School, enrolled on University Centre Peterborough’s BA (Hons) Psychosocial Studies course straight from Sixth Form. “The course was the perfect fit for my interests. Very few universities offer this degree, so I was lucky to have it right on my doorstep”.

Bethany Reynolds

Beth Reynolds, BSc Crime Scene and Investigative Studies graduate of University Centre Peterborough, was delighted to accept a place on the Accelerated Detective Constable Programme (ADCP) in June 2021, and says that she “couldn’t have picked a better degree to prepare for the role”.

Declan Jackson

Declan completed his degree, BSc (Hons) Business Management, at University Centre Peterborough and loved his course, “The best part about the course is the opportunity, skills and resources”.
